Exhibitors that live or go to school in Polk County, Florida has the right to sell one animal (steer/hog) in the Livestock Sale on Saturday, March 29th. This event is a non-terminal show, meaning at time of entry the exhibitor will decide what animal they would like to sell. Selling your animal is OPTIONAL and not required to participate in all divisions of the Central Florida Youth in Agriculture Livestock Showcase & Sale.
Only one animal will be allowed to enter the sale per exhibitor; however an exhibitor can show both a hog and steer, and only sell one of them. A commission will be charged for all animals that enter the sale. CFYIA will receive no more than 5% sale commission of the sale price and that will be determined after the close out of the sale.
Withdraw periods must be followed per label on medications. If exhibitor chooses the sale option on entry form, animal MUST go to sale Exhibitor must market his/her own animal. If animal is not in the prospect sale, exhibitor may sell private treaty. All animals will sell by the Head, not by the pound.
